Norway’s tryst with alternative propulsion commenced in the 1990s when it initiated tax incentives and subsidies to promote the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs). Since then, Norway has witnessed prolific growth in EV sales to the extent that it has the highest per capita number of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in the world.
