ZF concentrates on core strengths to offer solutions for autonomous driving market
Instead of developing new technology completely in-house, the German supplier is working to adapt its current offerings for autonomous driving vehicles
ZF is focusing on its core strengths of mechanical and safety systems as part of its autonomous driving strategy, Automotive News reported last week, citing the company CEO Stefan Sommer. According to Sommer, while the highly autonomous driving is expected to result in several changes in how vehicle interior is designed, the vehicle would still need mechanism.
