IAA 2017: ZF, Faurecia unveil new seat concept for autonomous vehicles

ZF also showcases new side airbag

ZF and Faurecia are showcasing a new seat concept, designed for future self-driving cars, at their respective booths at the International Motor Show (IAA), currently being held in Frankfurt, Germany, according to a press release by ZF on 19 September. The new seat supports three different driver positions: the driving position, a relaxed position and a working position, in which the seat is turned slightly forward toward the middle of the cabin. The new seat can be tilted by 25 degree backwards and up to 10 degree toward the interior.
