Toyota to begin Ha:mo electric car-sharing service in Thai University
Project aims to explore ways to solve traffic issues in major cities
Toyota’s Thai subsidiary, Toyota Motor Thailand has partnered with Chulalongkorn University to begin Ha:mo electric car sharing service within the university’s campus in Bangkok, beginning December, the Japanese automaker said in a press release on 3 August. The car-sharing service will use 10 units of COMS ultra-compact electric vehicles (EVs), produced by Toyota Auto Body Co. The service will further expanded with an additional 20 units by middle of next year. There will be 12 stations linking the university campus to the nearest train station and bus stops in the area. Under the project, parking space for 33 vehicles will be provided, of which 10 spaces will have charging stations.
