Company raises full year sales forecasts, maintains earnings outlook

Cummins reported a 4.4% year-over-year (y/y) increase in net income to USD424 million for the second quarter ended 2 July 2017, the US-based engine supplier said in a press release. The company recorded moderate growth in net income on 12.1% y/y growth in net sales to USD5.1 billion. Higher sales helped the company report a 4.9% y/y increase in operating income to USD595 million.
