Mercedes-Benz recalls 2,300 vehicles to fix defects in headlights, airbags in US
Company to address three of four recalls this month
Mercedes-Benz USA has announced four recalls in the United States involving 2,300 vehicles, reports carcomplaints.com. The largest of the four recalls involves 2,213 units of model year (MY) smart fortwo compacts to fix glitch in the headlights. The horizontal headlight adjustment mechanism in the affected vehicle may not have been properly sealed off to prevent future adjustment. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
