IBM receives patent for controlling driving modes of self-driving cars
Patented system employs sensors and artificial intelligence to determine potential safety concern
IBM scientists have been granted a patent around a machine learning system that can shift control of a self-driving car between a human and a vehicle control processor in the event of potential emergency, the company said in a press release on 30 March.
