Finnish contract manufacturer has been producing Mercedes-Benz A-Class since 2013

Valmet Automotive will continue to build the next-generation of Mercedes-Benz compact cars at its plant in Uusikaupunki, Finland, Daimler said in a press release on 22 March. The Finnish contract manufacturer has been producing Mercedes-Benz A-Class since 2013 under a contract that has been extended until the end of this year. Last month, Valmet also started contract manufacturing of Mercedes-Benz GLC crossover, along with the A-Class. “The cooperation with Valmet Automotive is extremely successful. That is why we continue this cooperation for the next generation of compact cars,” said Dr. Klaus Zehender, member of the Divisional Board Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for procurement and supplier quality.
