Vehicle offers SAE Level 4 autonomy

Hyundai is showcasing its self-driving car Autonomous Ioniq at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. According to a press release by the automaker on 7 March, The Autonomous Ioniq is equipped with Lidar, sensors and cameras, which enable the vehicle to achieve SAE Level 4 autonomy, which does not require input from drivers. Further, unlike in many other self-driving cars, in which Lidar is mounted on the roof, in Autonomous Ioniq the system is behind the bumper. This does not interfere with the design of the vehicle.
