Uber receives California DMV’s approval for testing self-driving cars

DMV also approves 48 people as backup drivers

Uber has received necessary permission from the California Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) to test its self-driving cars on the state’s public roads, Reuters reported on 8 March. The state DMV approved Uber to test two modified Volvo XC90 SUVs, equipped with self-driving system.
