Former GM executive to lead Hyundai-Kia’s efforts in self-driving technology
Korean automotive group creates ‘Intelligence Safety Technology Center’ to focus on autonomous driving technology
Hyundai has hired Lee Jin-woo to lead its Intelligence Safety Technology Center, which will focus on development of self-driving technology for both for Hyundai and Kia, Reuters reported on 12 February. Jin-woo previously led self-driving technology development at General Motors (GM) for more than a decade. Prior to GM, in 2006, he worked on autonomous driving and robot research projects at Connell University for over five years.
