A123 to supply Li-ion batteries to SAIC-GM – report

Automotive battery manufacturer A123 Systems has won a CNY6.9 billion (USD1 billion) order from SAIC General Motors Corp. to supply lithium ion (Li-ion) batteries, reports Automotive News China, citing a statement by Wanxiang Group, the owner of A123 Systems.
