Chinese battery maker CATL acquires stake in Finnish auto parts supplier Valmet Automotive
Plans to grow lithium-ion battery capacity by sixfold to 50GWh by 2020
China-based battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL) has acquired a 22% stake in Valmet Automotive, the Finland-based automotive supplier and contract vehicle manufacturer said in a press release on 30 January.
