South Korea-based IT company Naver plans to begin testing its autonomous vehicle on roads "soon", according to a report by the Yonhap News Agency. The vehicle has already cleared the performance test conducted by the South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport and is awaiting permission for test-runs. "Our car is at the level 3, which is just below level 4 when drivers can close their eyes during driving," said a Naver official Cheong Ji-hoon. Naver plans to invest KRW500 billion (USD425.4 million) over the next five years into developing technologies in self-driving cars and artificial intelligence (AI).
