Company currently testing the device, plans to make it commercially available from next month

Start-up firm Netradyne is all set to launch a smart device called “Driver-i” to enhance driver safety within the commercial vehicle market, The Detroit News reported on 27 December. The device, a vision-based platform, is designed to be mounted behind the rear-view mirror of a pickup, van or other commercial vehicle to continuously capture 360-degree video of the vehicle’s surroundings, automatically identifying everything on the road, from other vehicles to pedestrians to red light.
