Higher tariff initially levied for six months, but could prolonged for five years

The European Union (EU) has imposed import duty of up to 23% on hot-rolled steel imported from China, Bloomberg reported on 11 October. The duties seek to penalize Chinese steel exporters such as Wuhan Iron & Steel, Angang Steel and Hebei Iron & Steel for allegedly selling their products in Europe below cost, according to the report.
