Japanese telecommunications company plans to introduce self-driving buses by 2019

SoftBank, a Japanese multinational technology and telecommunications company, is developing self-driving buses in Japan, according to a report by the Japan Times. The project is being led by the group's SB Drive unit, which hopes to introduce the buses by 2019. "Japan's aging population is putting the country on the front line of a public transportation crisis.
