Kia and Hyundai raise concerns over future hybrids
South Korean battery-makers LG Chem and Samsung SDI are still awaiting certification from the Chinese government for their nickel-cobalt manganese (NCM) batteries, which was scheduled to arrive in August. The companies currently lack the required certification for the NCM batteries produced in China for use in new-energy vehicles (NEVs).
