GAC starts construction of Xinjiang assembly plant in China
Plant will have annual production capacity of 100,000 cars
Guangzhou Automobile Group Corp (GAC) has started the construction of an assembly plant in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northwest China, on 24 August. "With an investment of CNY1.6 billion (USD240 million), the plant has a designed annual production capacity of 100,000 cars and will create 1,500 jobs.
