Boasts 13% improvement over first generation system

Continental and Schaeffler, in partnership with Ford, will present the second-generation Gasoline Technology Car (GTC II) at the 37th International Vienna Motor Symposium, Continental said in a press release on 21 April 2016. The GTC II boasts an improvement of approximately 13% over GTC Ion the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) fuel efficiency. According to the press release GTC II promises about 25% better fuel economy. The technology was integrated into a Ford Focus equipped with a turbocharged 1L 3-cylinder gasoline engine.
