Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has introduced an automatic transmission in its popular XUV500 sport utility vehicle (SUV). The 6-speed torque converter transmission is sourced from Aisin Seiki, reports Autocar India. The automaker has introduced the transmission option in three trim levels of the vehicle: the W8 FWD, W10 FWD (front-wheel drive), and W10 AWD (all-wheel drive). Models with the automatic transmission are priced between INR1.55 million (USD23,355) and INR1.74 million in New Delhi. Aside from the transmission, the vehicle's powertrain has not undergone any other change.
