The legalisation of autonomous vehicles means that the self-driving car is another step closer to reality, but what legal framework will need to be in place around them?
Autonomous vehicles, like any new technology, will inevitably require a lot of other pieces, unrelated to the technology itself, to be in place in order to take off. These other pieces differ depending on the timeframe; tomorrow, 5-10 years ahead, or 25-30 years ahead. This article looks at the framework for autonomous vehicles in the next 5-10 years.
