Mirrors are progressively being linked with cameras; this is due to legislative influences, ie the Kids Transportation Safety Act in North America, although the full implementation of this Act is still some way off. In addition, the convergence of mirrors and cameras reflects competition amongst the OEMs who have started to add cameras as a differentiation feature before the legislative pressures to fit them began to emerge.
