Renault, Nissan discuss greater manufacturing, CEO calls for French diesel replacement scheme
Deal to be worked out following conclusion of a new labour agreement.
Renault is in talks with Nissan about building more of the Japanese automaker's vehicles, reports the Nikkei. The chief executive officer (CEO) of Renault told the Japanese newspaper that Nissan was one of the partners it was in talks with regarding this strategy. He added that any deal would be worked out following the positive conclusion of a new labour agreement. In related news, Ghosn has said that the French government should incentivise the removal of older diesels from the country's roads following talk of adding taxes on the fuel.
