Action coincides with the latest round of negotiations between management and unions

Workers at Renault undertook strike action yesterday (29 January) which coincided with the latest round of negotiations between management and unions, reports Dow Jones Newswires. Around 1,700 workers staged work stoppages and demonstrations across France, including the Douai factory where more than 500 workers protested inside a factory causing disruptions to production, and outside the Flins factory where workers blocked traffic. Separately, the automaker said in a statement that the eighth round of negotiations saw it reiterate its commitment to improve the competitiveness of the business to the CFDT, CFE-CGC, CGT and FO unions.
