The Russian market may finally at a stage where it can support an influx of localised suppliers
The last six years have seen Russia as one of the core interest areas for the global automotive supply base in its continuous research for growth outside the Triad markets, which have been stagnant at best. There is little doubt that it has been a bumpy road for all stakeholders in the Russian automotive industry with the boom-bust-boom trajectory the market has experienced over the last four years, with clear implications for the local supply base and for the investment confidence of suppliers which wanted to penetrate the local market.
