Asahi Kasei partners with Shell to develop sustainable synthetic rubber for tires
The chemical company will become the first producer in the world to make sustainable styrene-butadiene rubber using plastic waste
Japanese chemicals company Asahi Kasei announced via press release on 24 November that it had concluded an agreement with petrochemical company Shell Eastern regarding the supply of butadiene derived from plastic waste and biomass.
