Although the car production is now set to be almost flat with a very modest 1.6% progression in volume, and, although, some nice-to-have features are removed from cars, IHS Markit still forecasts a 27% jump for automotive semiconductor revenue this year. A new record should be set with $49.7B in 2021 (compared to $52.6B in the July automotive semiconductor tracker).
