2020 has been a year of transition due to the impact of COVID-19 but also on the maturing of the industry. This maturing less resulted in more emphasis on implementing L2+ solutions to make driving safer than focusing on making cars self-driving. This maturing is also leading to more module consolidation. Self-parking functions are being integrated into domain controllers and there is talk about also integrating recorders and driver monitoring into front view cameras because of their proximity. Another sign of maturity is there is an increased focus on the power dissipation and cost in addition to compute capability. IHS Markit is forecasting ADAS semiconductor revenue growth to be 14% between 2018 and 2025 and then 6% between 2025 and 2030.
