Infineon unveils CoolGaN bidirectional switch for enhanced power conversion efficiency
Infineon's CoolGaN switch simplifies power systems, boosts efficiency and supports advanced functions in various applications including electric vehicles
In a May 12 press release, Infineon Technologies announced the CoolGaN bidirectional switch (BDS) 650 V G5, a gallium nitride switch capable of actively blocking voltage and current in both directions. The device utilizes Infineon's gate injection transistor technology and CoolGaN technology to deliver a monolithic bidirectional switch.
