Mainland China reports strong jump in EV charging facilities in 2024

According to the National Energy Administration, the total number of charging facilities across the country jumped 49% year over year, reaching 12.8 million units by the end of 2024

Mainland China has recorded strong growth in electric vehicle charging infrastructure in 2024 to support rapid electrification of the vehicle fleet in the country, China Daily reported Jan. 23, citing data from the National Energy Administration.
