Are fast charging batteries the answer to range anxiety?
Fast-charging batteries are one of the key development areas for cell manufacturers around the world. From the initial days of 1C charging rate (C-rate), the industry has reached 4C and even 5C capabilities
Earlier in 2024, S&P Global Mobility conducted a consumer survey related to electric vehicle, to gauge what the consumers are expecting out of the new age EVs. The survey aimed to understand the minimum range an EV should have and the longest acceptable time for a full charge. Most respondents expressed willingness to wait 30 minutes to an hour for a charging session.
