The government lowers EV subsidies and enforces stricter safety standards to encourage cost reduction and ensure safety

The South Korean government, as reported by the Ministry of Environment, has announced that starting 2025, the maximum subsidy for purchasing electric passenger vehicles will be lowered to 5.8 million won (about $3,950), marking a reduction of over 10% from the previous year.
