The funds are awarded to ABTC and its subcontractor Argonne National Laboratory to support the construction of a new Li-ion battery recycling facility

American Battery Technology Co. (ABTC), an integrated critical battery materials company that is commercializing its technologies for both primary battery minerals manufacturing and secondary minerals lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery recycling, announced Dec. 18 that it has received a $144 million contract award of federal investment from the US Energy Department (DOE) to set up a new battery recycling facility.
