Statiq, an electric vehicle charging network provider in India, has announced a collaboration with Google Maps aimed at enhancing the EV driving experience within the country. This partnership is designed to address the common concern of range anxiety among EV drivers by offering real-time availability information on charging stations directly through Google Maps.
Users are now able to access detailed data on Statiq's charging stations, such as port types and whether they are currently available, and can filter the search results based on their specific charger requirements. This integration promises to simplify the process of finding charging stations, thereby making EV adoption a more appealing and less stressful option for potential and current EV owners.
Raghav Arora, co-founder and chief technology officer of Statiq, expressed that this collaboration represents a significant advancement in its mission to make EV charging infrastructure more accessible and user-friendly across India. By providing essential charging station information through Google Maps, Statiq aims to reduce range anxiety and encourage more individuals to consider switching to EVs.
This initiative is seen as a step toward promoting a greener and more sustainable future in India. Furthermore, Statiq has committed to expanding its charging network to 20,000 chargers by 2025, underlining its dedication to supporting the increasing adoption of EVs across the nation.
