China's leading electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD, has inaugurated its first factory in Southeast Asia, located in Thailand, marking its expansion into the rapidly growing regional EV market where it has established dominance. The establishment of BYD's plant in Thailand is part of a broader movement of Chinese EV makers investing over $1.44 billion in the country, encouraged by government subsidies and tax incentives.
