BorgWarner signs strategic agreement with BYD’s FinDreams to produce LFP battery packs
Under the agreement, BorgWarner will receive a license from FinDreams Battery to use FinDreams Battery’s intellectual property related to its battery pack design and manufacturing process
BorgWarner Inc. has signed a strategic agreement with FinDreams Battery, a subsidiary of BYD Company Limited, wherein it will be the only localized manufacturer that is not an original equipment manufacturer with rights to localize lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs for commercial vehicles. This agreement will utilize FinDreams Battery blade cells in Europe, the Americas and select regions of Asia-Pacific, BorgWarner announced on Feb. 8.
