Nvidia has announced two new simulation engines on Omniverse Cloud, a platform as a service for industrial digitalization, according to its blogpost on Nov. 15. The virtual factory simulation engine and the autonomous vehicle simulation engine help automotive companies streamline their product life cycle, and reduce costs and digitalize their core product and business processes.

The virtual factory simulation engine allows factory planning teams to connect large-scale industrial datasets and collaborate in real time, while the autonomous vehicle simulation engine provides physically based sensor simulation for autonomous systems development. The autonomous vehicle simulation engine can simulate vehicle sensors, such as cameras, radars and lidars, with high fidelity, enabling developers to create unified autonomous vehicle architectures. Nvidia is offering the factory simulation engine through an enterprise private offer on the Azure Marketplace.

By leveraging Omniverse Cloud, automotive companies can accelerate their digitalization efforts and improve their product life-cycle management, from design and engineering to manufacturing and delivery.
