Ontario allots C$91 million for EV charging infrastructure for smaller communities in Canada
Ontario’s EV ChargeON program aims to build publicly accessible EV charging stations in communities with less than 170,000 people
The Ontario government in Canada plans to provide an additional funding of C$91 million to build thousands of new electric vehicle charging stations in small and medium-sized communities, making it more convenient to charge up outside of large urban centers, in addition to encouraging people to transition to EVs in the region, the state government announced October 20.
