Ford plans to rename the Canada-based facility as the Oakville Electric Vehicle Complex

US automaker Ford Motor Company announced on April 11 that the company is investing C$1.8 billion on retooling and upgrading its Oakville Assembly Complex in Canada to prepare the facility for producing EVs in the future. Ford said that it aims to make the Ontario-based production plant a high-volume hub of EV manufacturing in Canada.
