UK announces funding for autonomous passenger, freight service
The City of Sunderland Council will get GBP6 million to develop and test a autonomous shuttle service
The UK Government has announced that GBP81 million in combined government and industry funding is being made available for commercial self-driving passenger and freight services. The grants for seven projects are part of the Centre program, according to UK Government press release on 1 February 2023.
