GAC Aion to invest USD1.5 billion on building battery plant in Guangzhou, China
The planned battery plant will have a peak capacity of 36GWh once fully operational by end 2025
GAC Aion, the new energy vehicle (NEV) brand positioned under the umbrella of the state-owned automobile manufacturer Guangzhou Automobile Corporation (GAC Group) in China, plans to invest USD1.57 billion in building a battery manufacturing plant, a news report published by CnEVPost on 12 December 2022 said.
