Ultium Cells to invest additional USD275 million to expand output by over 40%
General Motors–LG Energy Solution battery JV is expanding annual production capacity from 35 GWh to 50 GWh
Ultium Cells LLC, the battery cell manufacturing joint venture of LG Energy Solution and General Motors, plans to invest an additional USD 275 million on its Ultium Cells Spring Hill plant in the US to further expand the production output by more than 40%, the company announced on 2 December 2022.
