Nippon, JFE to expand electrical steel capacity with combined USD1.3 billion investment
The investments will expand the companies’ individual e-steel capacities by 1.5 to 2.0 times by 2024
News agency Bloomberg reported on 5 December that Japanese steelmakers Nippon Steel and JFE Steel will be spending a combined USD1.3 billion (JPY172 billion) to increase their production capacity of electrical steel.
