FAW Hongqi unveils ‘hands on/off detection’ steering wheel for automated vehicles
To identify vehicle status under driver control (driving autonomously or manually) and warn the driver
FAW Hongqi R&D Center announced that the Hongqi steering team of the FAW New Energy Development Center's chassis development division had developed the Hands On/Off Detection (HOD) steering wheel technology that debuted in China, according to FAW Hongqi R&D Center’s WeChat press release on 28 November 2022.
