ArcelorMittal breaks ground on USD1.3 billion Ontario green steel project

The project involves setting up a 2.4-million-ton EAF and a 2.5-million-ton hydrogen-capable DRI plant.

Global steelmaking company ArcelorMittal announced via press release on 13 October that it had broken ground on its CAD1.8 billion (USD1.3 billion) project to decarbonize its Dofasco steelmaking site in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
