Generals Motors to invest USD491 million to set up new body panel press lines for EVs in Indiana
Steel and aluminum stamped parts produced using the new press lines will be used to manufacture EV body structures
Detroit automaker General Motors announced via press release on 15 September that it will be investing USD491 million in its metal stamping plant in Marion, Indiana, to install new equipment necessary for the production of electric vehicle (EV) body panels.
