California approves roadmap to achieve 100% electrification by 2035 for cars, light vehicles
Sales of new ZEVs and PHEVs have to be a minimum of 35% of overall light-duty vehicle sales in 2026
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has approved the Advanced Clean Cars II rule that established a year-by-year roadmap to achieve 100% electrification of cars, pick up trucks, SUVs and other light vehicles by 2035, CARB said in a press release on 25 August 2022.
