LG Chem to supply General Motors 950,000 tons of cathode material between 2022-2030
The CAM will be manufactured internationally and shipped to GM’s Ultium battery manufacturing sites in Ohio, Tennessee, and Michigan.
US automaker General Motors (GM) announced via press release on 26 July that it had signed a binding agreement with Korean battery materials manufacturer LG Chem for the supply of cathode active material (CAM) necessary for the manufacturing of electric vehicle batteries.
