Ford, Rio Tinto to set up sustainable supply chains for lithium, aluminum, and copper

Supply of low-emission aluminum should help Ford meet its commitments to the First Movers Coalition

Anglo-Australian mining company Rio Tinto announced via press release on 21 July that it had signed a nonbinding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Detroit automaker Ford to develop sustainable and secure supply chains for battery and low-carbon materials that will be used in future Ford vehicles.
